לעבר ערים מרכזיות ובהן קייב, אודסה וחרקוב. על פי הרשויות האוקראיניות, לפחות עשרה אזרחים נהרגו ועשרות נפצעו, כולל ילדים, אישה הרה ומשפחות שלמות.
ברובע שבצ'נקיבסקי שבקייב, קריסה חלקית של בניין מגורים בעקבות פגיעת טיל הובילה למותם של שמונה בני אדם ולפציעתם של כשלושים נוספים. גם כניסה של תחנת מטרו ששימשה מקלט ניזוקה בתקיפה.
חיל האוויר האוקראיני הודיע כי הצליח ליירט את מרבית 352 המל"טים ו-16 הטילים ששוגרו, אך חלק מהם הצליחו לחדור את מערכות ההגנה ופגעו בבתי מגורים, בתי ספר ובתי חולים. באודסה נהרגו שני אנשי צוות חינוכי בתקיפה יומית, ואישה הרה יחד עם ילדים נוספים נפגעו באירועים נפרדים.
נשיא אוקראינה וולודימיר זלנסקי, המבקר בימים אלו בבריטניה, גינה את המתקפות וכינה אותן "טרור מדינתי". הוא טען כי נעשה שימוש במל"טים איראניים וטילים צפון-קוריאניים, והאשים את שותפותיה של רוסיה ביצירת "קואליציית רוצחים".
צרפת גינתה את התקיפות בחריפות והזהירה כי סנקציות נוספות מצד האיחוד האירופי צפויות להגיע. בארצות הברית, ממשלו של טראמפ טרם הגיב באופן רשמי, מה שמעורר דאגה בקייב באשר למחויבות המערב להמשך התמיכה.
