Jerusalem This Week: Culture, Resilience, and Jewish Pride
Editor's Note
Despite the ongoing security challenges posed by those who wish us harm, Jerusalem stands strong. The eternal capital of the Jewish people continues to pulse with life, culture, and unyielding resilience. As King David declared, If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. We haven't forgotten, and we thrive. Check event statuses before heading out, and stay vigilant.

The Knesset Museum: The Miracle of Israeli Democracy
Walk the halls where Israeli democracy was forged. Built by architect Reuven Avram, this building housed our parliament from December 1949 to August 1966. See the life-sized sculpture of David Ben-Gurion, the visionary who declared our independence, during a house debate. It is a powerful reminder of the leaders who shaped our state against all odds. There is even a display of the various dishes served in the Knesset cafeteria during those early decades of the state.
IDF soldiers visit for free, a small token of gratitude for those who defend our homeland. The museum has a shelter. Patrons must pre-book a guided tour; English-language tours are available.
